Trauma-Informed Care

Explanation of trauma-informed care or practice as it is used today in healthcare and mental healthcare spaces. Ostensibly designed to help patients with a history of trauma avoid re-traumatization in these spaces, this is a critical look at the ways in which TIC/TIP implementations fail patients and discusses the very real impacts of practitioner trauma on the escalation and maltreatment of patients.
